My brain is so scattered lately so this post is about nothing and everything I can think of right now.
- First off, we are super excited for my mom’s arrival on Friday! She’s flying in from Manila to Los Angeles and spending 11 weeks with us.
- By the end of the month, my brother + sis-in-law + 2 nephews will be in town too. My dad will join us next month for 4 weeks. It’s going to be a full house and I.can’t.wait.
- I started too many projects at home and I can’t keep up. Damn you, pinterest.
- We got a twin bed with a trundle for Olivia’s room so it can double as an extra guestroom. Need to paint her room first.
- Remember that February photo-a-day challenge? Nothing happened after the 6th day I think. Note to self: don’t start another photo challenge please.
- We’re planning a trip to Yosemite next month. We’ve never been so I’m excited.
- I need to start planning for my dad’s 60th birthday.
- Have you heard of Project Life? I love the simplicity of it but I hate that I’m three weeks behind on my album right now.
- This post is from one of my favorite blogs. As a mom of 5, Sarah gives practical advice helpful to young moms. I read it yesterday and then it hit me..my mind is all over the place because, well, I want to do this, do that, start this, try that, blog this, blog that, DIY this and DIY that. Too many things I want to accomplish. Endless list of things I need to buy (or want to buy). And all these take time. It takes time away from family. So I’m on a mission: get my household in order and simplify, simplify, simplify! Disclaimer: I’m going to start this after I get Olivia’s bedroom project complete. :)
Ok, enough ramblings and let me leave you with photos of my two-year old.

It’s either she doesn’t smile like the one above or forces a fake one like this one below.

I love her just the same.

Olivia calls her Kitty.
So I try to correct her and say, “that’s Hello Kitty”.
And then of course she picks up the phone and says “Hello, Kitty”?
I love how her mind works.
Mark has been out of town for work since Monday. This is the first time I am flying solo on this parenting thing. Thank God, Olivia has been very good so far. I am actually quite surprised that she is not looking for her daddy as much as I had anticipated.
FaceTime is the best thing ever. Olivia enjoys talking to him and she is such a show-off in front of the camera. “Look daddy!”, she beamed as she took a big bite off of her dinner plate to show that she’s a good girl and that she’s eating well.
Last night before going to bed, Olivia kept saying “iPhone daddy” but I told her Daddy’s sleeping already (since he’s in the east coast) and she quickly forgot about it and went to sleep.
Two more sleeps and we’re excited for Friday night when daddy is home again.

Last Tuesday, I took Olivia to see a dentist for the first time. I was prepping her before the appointment..practicing to open her mouth wide, telling her how this is going to be fun and so on.
Well, this is a photo just right after her dentist brushed and examined her teeth. Tears. She wasn’t happy, despite all the toys at the waiting room and Sesame Street on TV.

I’m just relieved she didn’t have cavities yet. The doctor said there’s a tiny one starting on her two front teeth (yikes) but nothing that requires treatment so far. Only her last set of molars hasn’t come out yet.
At home, we’re trying to make brushing fun for her. Still, there are times when both Daddy and I need to hold her down just to be able to brush her teeth well.
